There was no 'winner' in this little squabble, except LG an abusive, incompetent, multinational corporation that gets to continue treating their customers like sh$t, and put out sub-par, undependable products that customers continue to complain about. The corporations have seen to it that our "representatives" don't take the necessary action against corporations that put-out poorly made, planned-obsolescence crap. Even when their products are proven faulty in a court of law. The world is changed because of the pandemic and it's apparently more hostile to the customer, which in turn feeds a growing hostility to corporations like LG who treat their customers indifferently leaving them stranded when their products fail, even under warranty. I'm watching posts to get a better idea of a more trustworthy 'fridge. Instead, LG took a cowardly, denialist, refusal-to-take-responsibility, class-action-lawsuit-losing position and has turned their name into garbage. The staggering irony is that LG could have spent 1/100th the cost of lawsuits, lawyers, bad press, lost customers, recompense, multiple repairs, etc., just by owning-up and fixing their products in an up-front and timely manner. The second, near as I can calculate, was loosely based on the calculations used in the LG lawsuit, including 'unsuccessful' repair attempts, number of days between repair attempts, charges for excess of days beyond 10 day max, and other boundaries set by the court. One, for $250.00 was for lost food and paying for ice (which was a low-ball at best). The result, after several weeks, was two checks. The Liaison's email promised that she would submit our complaints and estimates of our out-of-pocket expenses and inconvenience to her "Returns Authorization Department." To recap, we were contacted on May 10th by phone and also via email by the "President's Liaison," after my submitting an email through the website "Share Your Voice With The LG President." (thank you Middle_Name-Danger). Since my last update (May 13th), the repair has so far held (knocks wood), but I cannot relax and trust the unit. This is the belated final update to my horror miniseries: "Night Of The Dead LG Refrigerator 49 Days Of Insanity"
